QRZDOOR History QRZDOOR.EXE Copyright 1995 by P - t - B SoftWare v. 1.0 First release version of QRZDOOR. Absolutely perfect in every way, as usual. (Well, sorta. . . ) v. 1.01 - 1.04 In house fine tuning of the door library code. v. 1.05 Optimized door code release version. v. 1.06 Turned local keyboard on in remote mode. This is for the users that can't find the Q key. Changed string for file switch to more properly reflect what is happening. Changed file delete so that under MOST circumstances QRZDOOR.TXT remains if user does not create a file. This is so nightly events can find a file to list for those systems that want to have the file show on a directory search. v. 1.07 Fixed bug that caused file to not be deleted unless the user turned the F switch on and off. Tightened Name search to limit name finds to the name entered by user. Now PERRY won't find PERRYMAN or SMITH, SMITHSON. Fixed name parsing to eliminate problems in display caused by those who use an initial for a first name and a name for a middle initial. (Huh?) Fixed display of club names so they aren't offset by one character. Changed method of handling strings in index reads. This was causing a problem with Vol. 5 which has an unexpected (for me) series of nulls in the first index field. (This was tough to find as they didn't show up in a text reader.. had to look at the file byte for byte in HEX!) Allowed QRZ's .IDX files to be accessed from CD rather than requiring they be placed in the QRZDOOR directory. Should work okay on all but the slowest systems. v. 1.08 Fixed club call display routine to work properly with Vol. 6. Thanks... I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to Bill WD8ARZ and Bob WD5DHF for there patience, diligence, good nature, skill and willingness to make contributions to this and many of the Ham Radio oriented doors we have turned loose on an unsuspecting public. Also a special thanks to Bill for shipping me the latest version of QRZ! for testing. (It's in the mail, Bill!)
